Stainless Steel J4 Plates are well known for the lower amount of nickel in their composition, with the percentage stooping down as low as 1%. This extreme reduction of nickel is balanced by the excessive addition of nitrogen in the chrome-manganese alloy. This nitrogen renders the plates with enhanced strength and makes them resist pitted corrosion. The decrease in the nickel and increase in the nitrogen content is primarily responsible for increasing the hardness of the J4 grade. They are predominantly chosen over other grades regarding mechanical stress and strain applications. The austenite structure also plays an important role in the mechanical properties of the plates.
Accurate Metals & Alloys has been prominent as one of the top manufacturers of Stainless Steel J4 Plates and distributes them throughout different countries across the globe. Our factories are loaded with different top-class types of equipment, all in sync with the current innovations, and operated as per the procedures and guidelines associated with them.

The hardness of the J4 plate is its prime feature that, in turn, contributes to its durability. Wear resistance is another important trait characterized by the J4 grades, which increase their longevity. Corrosion resistance is displayed by the plates, which defend the alloy plates from chemicals and other liquids. The formability and workability exhibited by the stainless steel plates of the grade J4 are remarkably allowing them to be useful even in the presence of stress. They are also operational in elevated temperatures, primarily due to the thermal stability and heat hardening property they possess. Even with all the above properties, the plates of the respective grade are cost-effective.
Industries always demand plates containing all the features and properties displayed by the stainless steel J4. They are used in food processing, petrochemicals, seawater equipment, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, power plants, heat exchangers, condensers, etc.
Several tests are periodically conducted on the stainless steel J4 plates and other products we manufacture. These tests are carried out to the norms laid down by the respective authorities.
