It is the most widely used stainless steel grade duplex (ferritic/austenitic). The recommended temperature for forging Duplex 2205 Plate range is 1100 to 1250℃. The material should be re-heated as necessary and cooled in still air. Duplex Steel UNS S32205 Plates are characterized by a two-phase microstructure consisting of both ferrite and austenite. They contain 22 percent chromium, 3 percent molybdenum, and 5 to 6 percent nickel alloy.

Our Duplex Steel 2205 Plates offer superior corrosion resistance, although much of the Duplex S31803 currently produced also complies with Duplex S31803 specifications. Duplex Steel S31803 Plates present a cost-effective alternative to the relatively expensive stainless steel alloy grade 904L. With comparable properties, these 2205 SS Plates offer an economically favorable choice without compromising quality. Additionally, we supply high-quality duplex 2205 sheets with a mixed microstructure of austenite and ferrite. The aim is to achieve a 50/50 blend, although, in commercial alloys, the ratio may be 40/60, respectively.
