Our SS UNS S41000 is a basic martensitic grade with 11.5 percent chromium content, providing outstanding wear and corrosion resistance. Stainless Steel 410 Sheets and Plates are resistant to corrosion caused by chemicals, food and mild acids, water, and air.
It also resists nitric acid, complete sulfuric acid, dilutes acetic acid, and naphtha. When hardened and tempered, Stainless Steel UNS S41000 coils demonstrate augmented mechanical qualities and corrosion resistance. Dental and medical equipment, pipeline, gates and funnels, automobiles, and more can all benefit from our 1.4006 SS. UNS S41000 SS coils are mostly used in applications that require light resistance to oxidation, max strength, and thermal conductivity.
Hot gases, steam, food, mild acids and alkalies, fresh water, and dry air are all resistant to Grade 410 SS plates. Through tempering, these steels lessen corrosion and are resistant to high temperatures. SS 410 Sheets, on the other hand, do not rust as much as austenitic grades and ferritic alloys consisting of 17 % chromium, such as grade 430. At higher temps of 650°C, 1.4006 plates of steel offer good protection. Furthermore, at extreme temperatures from 400 to 580°C, the material’s mechanical strength began to degrade. Grade 410 sheets of steel can be forged using any traditional welding procedure; however, they should be pre-heated at 150 to 260°C before being annealed after welding to prevent cracking.
SS 410 sheets can be easily machined in severely tempered or annealed conditions. It is, nevertheless, difficult to mill UNS S41000 sheets of SS that have been hardened over 30HRC.
