SS 321 is 18/8 austenitic steel stabilized by Titanium. SS 321 Coils are utilized for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900 degrees C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion. Stainless Steel 321 Coils have outstanding intergranular corrosion resistance after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 427-816 degrees C.
SS 321 Coils are resistant to heat and higher temperatures. Stainless Steel 321 Sheets can be used with products and procedures performed at 900 degrees C. The mechanical properties of Stainless Steel 1.4541 Plates are in support of increased creep and stress rupture features. Although it is not possible to harden the SS 321 Plates by heat treatments. However, cold working methods on Stainless Steel 1.4541 Coils will do the work of hardening the Stainless Steel 321 Plates well.
