The Stainless Steel 409L Coils alloy is the ferritic version of stainless steel. These SS 409L Coils exhibit an amazing set of mechanical properties, including characteristics like supreme resistance to corrosion caused by elevated temperatures. Being one amongst the series of ferritic alloys of stainless steel, the SS 409L Coils are immune to the act of stress corrosion cracking. The SS 409L Coil’s chemical composition has standard elements like chromium, nickel, and silicon, but they also include titanium. The mixture of SS 409L Coils contains a lower content of carbon. The mechanical properties are as strong as the atmospheric corrosion resistance of this SS 409L grade is 250 times higher than the general mild steel. The corrosion resistance offered by the SS 409L Coils is higher because of the passive creation of a film formed of chromium in the SS 409L grade. After the welding process, the hardness and the rigidity of the SS 409L Coils are intact even after cooling due to the presence of titanium in the mixture of the SS 409L Coils. The SS 409L Coils provide great resistance against the act of oxidation and can withstand a temperature of about 800℃.
