Stainless Steel 309S Sheet, also known as UNS S30908 Sheet, is offered at the most competitive prices in the market. Grade 309S stainless steel is machined similarly to grade 304 stainless steel. Most resistance and fusion techniques may be used to weld SS Grade 309S. Welding with oxyacetylene is not recommended for this steel. These Grade 309S sheets may be hot worked at 1180℃ and reheated at 985℃. To achieve maximum corrosion resistance, this technique is followed by fast cooling.
Although these steel sheets have a high work hardening rate, they may be drawn, headed, upset, and stamped. To decrease internal stress, it must be completely annealed after cold working. 309S Stainless Steel may be annealed and quenched with water at temperatures ranging from 1040℃ to 1125℃. Heat treatment does not affect Grade 309S SS. The hardness and strength of these sheets can be enhanced by cold working.
