SS 420 Sheets are martensitic stainless steel variants. It is a stainless steel 410 alloy that has been changed. These SS 420 Sheets contain at least 12 % chromium, sufficient to give corrosion resistance to the SS 420 Sheets. The carbon content of Stainless Steel 420’s chemical composition allows for the optimum strength and stiffness characteristics. The ductility of SS 420 Sheets in the hardened state is good, but it can still be stiffened too, at minimum, a Rockwell hardness of 50HRC, which is the toughest of the 12 percent chromium stainless steel grades.
