Stainless steel is known to be a nickel-chromium alloy with iron in its composition. The grade 201LN has a more modified chemical makeup within stainless steel, making it different from the others. One of the differences comes from reducing the amount of nickel in the alloy and replacing the element with nitrogen and manganese. Nitrogen in the 201LN plates is responsible for granting them greater weldability and strength, making them functional even at a lower temperature. The strength and other mechanical properties are only enhanced as the temperature is lowered.

Considered a cheaper alternative to 304, the 201LN stainless steel plates exhibit properties that surpass those of the former. The resistance against pitted corrosion and stress corrosion in the presence of actively strong corrosive agents makes them more popular than other grades. With an increase in the amount of chromium, the endurance of the plates against heat is also enhanced, allowing them to be utilized in temperatures much higher than standard. With its usability being proven in high-temperature ranges, the tensile strength and the resistance against oxidation gradually increase with a decrease in temperature, making them apt for both hot and cold conditions.
The effectiveness of the plates in various conditions is seen in their application and usage in cryogenic vessels, clamps, petrochemical, pulp, paper industry, heat exchangers, cable racking, strapping, condensers, chemical industry, oil and gas processing, etc.
To ensure that the quality of the products we supply is not degraded in the least manner, a series of definite tests are conducted on the stainless steel 201LN plates before they are dispatched and are followed by inspections by a third party.
