Accurate Metals and Alloys have been heralded as a prominent and leading name for manufacturing and distributing stainless steel products like the Stainless Steel 436 Plates of the richest quality. This accomplishment is due to our continuous efforts to improve the quality of products in the market while maintaining a balance between technological innovations used in our factories and the cost-effective nature for which our products are highly regarded.
Belonging to the ferritic 400-series of stainless steel alloys, the Stainless Steel 436 Plates are also ferritic like the parent series and are known for the presence of niobium-tantalum. Along with adding two new elements, the chemical modification also includes an increase in the amount of chromium up to 16% and the incorporation of around 1% molybdenum. The greater proportion of chromium in the mixture, as compared to a minuscule amount of nickel, grants the alloy strength and toughness, and firm resistance against corrosion. The class of steel to which the 436 grade belongs is characterized by the reduction in carbon content which in turn provides the plates with improved resistance against corrosion, specifically against intergranular corrosion.

Stainless steel 436 plates are characterized and recognized by their superior resistance against atmospheric corrosive agents and also against water. The corrosion resistance property of the grade comes in handy when dealing with operations carried out in mildly corrosive environments. Carbide precipitation is deemed a major factor for progressive corrosion effects. The modified chemical composition successfully reduces this precipitation to defend the plates against intergranular corrosion. Roping or ridging are some common detrimental effects of corrosion on grades belonging to the 400 series, which are excellently tackled by the 436-grade plates. The ductility and formability of the plates is a highly regarded feature that has helped them to prove useful in stressful conditions.
The industries constantly employing the SS 436 Plates for their versatile property and stability include hospital equipment, kitchenware, seawater machinery, the dairy industry, food processing, aerospace applications, etc.
Our prime priority is to provide our clientele with stainless steel products that stand true to every expectation and need. To fulfill it with utmost efficiency, we periodically conduct several tests and inspections on the products and factories.
