Accurate Metals and Alloys is a name that resonates with perfection and superior high-class quality when it comes to manufacturing and distributing the Stainless Steel 439 Plates and other stainless steel products. The guidelines and the procedures for accomplishing a successful production and supply of the products are strictly adhered to without any exceptions.
The stainless steel plates belonging to the 439 grade are columbium-stabilized ferritic alloy. The physical microstructure contributes to the ductility and resistance of the plates against stress cracking. Chemically, the plates are comprised of chromium, nickel, and iron, all of which contribute to the alloy’s stability and physical properties. A distinct chemical addition is the incorporation of titanium, niobium, and molybdenum. Titanium is known to grant the plates additional protection against intergranular corrosion caused by the formation of carbide precipitation. The columbium stabilization of the alloys accounts for their strength at higher temperatures while retaining their stability. The integration of molybdenum, on the other hand, increases the resistance manifested by the plates in the presence of chloride ions.
Composed of several properties, the 439-grade stainless steel plates are distinctly renowned for their developed corrosion resistance. The resistance the plates possess is not just around mildly corrosive environments such as water but is also useful in defending the plate against the damaging action of chloride ions. Along with chloride ions, oxygen in the environment can also be fatal for the alloy plates. Therefore, to prevent undergoing oxidation, the plates come with resistance against oxidation. Weldability and formability are other two important features of the 439 plates that come in handy while operating in stressful conditions characterized by elevated temperatures.

The mechanical and chemical stability, accompanied by the diverse range of properties, allows the stainless steel 439 plates to be employed in automotive exhaust systems, catering equipment, tubular manifolds, rail cars, construction materials, etc.
Keeping in mind the importance of good quality, the products we manufacture are subjected to inspections and tests that help us distinguish between the products which have retained their quality and those which have to be replaced by a good quality product. After satisfactorily testing all the products, the products which passed all the tests are shipped, while better-quality products replace the ones which proved defective.
