Nickel is always considered to be costly in plates and is also known to hinder the properties displayed by chromium. By lowering the amount of nickel present in the stainless steel alloy and increasing the chromium content, JSLU(DD) grade was developed. This grade contains a comparatively higher amount of both chromium and manganese with nickel occupying ≤1% of the entire composition. The void caused by the reduction of the element is filled by replacing it with nitrogen and increasing the amount of manganese. This counterbalancing of elements to stabilize the plates, in turn, grants them toughness and enhanced mechanical properties.
The plates should be able to function effectively, not only in standard operating conditions but in stressful and harsh conditions where mechanical strain cannot be neglected. In this case, therefore, it is of utmost importance for the plates to be able to bear this strain and stress while also not letting it affect the operation. This is the reason why the toughness, stability and tensile strength of the JSLU(DD) are in very high demand in various industries. Its strength is what allows the plates to facing rough operating conditions. Not only do they resist mechanical strain but also corrosion caused by both stress and corrosive agents such as liquid solvents.
It is essential for the physical and chemical properties of the plates to be retained throughout the manufacturing process with any form of degradation in its quality and therefore, we strictly follow all the precautions for the process as well as the deliverance and handling of the plates.
